Expedition's schedule
Our goal: Ascending two seven-thousand-metre peaks of Tajikistan Pamir.
We intend to ascend Peak Korzenhevskaya (7,106) in classical expedition style
thus gaining necessary acclimatisation (on the altitude of 7,000 metres there is roughly 1/3 of air oxygen
when compared to sea level). We will obviously not be using any oxygen aid.
We intend to ascend Peak Comminism (7,495) in the alpine style,
i.e. without descending to the base camp before summit attempt. This syle is much more demanding
but having previously acclimatised well, we will be able to achieve this. Of course here either
any oxygen aid is out of question.
Dates: We will start on July 14th, the return to Poland being expected in mid-August
(there are of course changes possible due to external reasons).
Getting there: We are leaving Poland by train, then via Byelorussia
to Moscow. Therefrom by plane to Dushanbe (capital city of Tajikistan).
Futher transfer will be done - according to local limitations - by car and / or helicopter
(there is a possibility that brigdes in valleys of Pamir will be out of use).
Frame schedule of the Expedition:
- 14/07 Leaving for Moscow.
- 16/07 Departure from Moscow by plane and arrival in Dushanbe.
- 17-18/07 Dealing with the formalities on spot (summit permits, registration at the police, at other organs if required).

- 21-23/07 Setting off for the Camp I on classic route to Peak Korzenhevskaya (incl. taking all necessary equipment), where we intend to spend 2 nights to acclimatise.
- 24/07 Taking the equipment to Camp II (ca. 6,000) and perhaps staying there for one night to further acclimatise.
- 25-27/07 Return to Base Camp and rest before the summit attempt.
